The fees for the owner/operators are enormous. They are about$825.00 a week. You would have to do over $2000.00 a week in business to cover your fuel expenses (that you pay 100% of) and make any money. They don't even have a sales person to get ANY new business.
They are a SCAM!!!!!Do NOT do business with them. 1292375

| 1. Written by ROK on April 19, 2012 from west palm beach, florida, US Super Shuttle - Reliability and Customer Service: Grade D- I've heard the complaints about Corporate. There are also franchisees that don't care and provide poor service. Outbound trip to airport was reserved and confirmed twice: Pick-up was 1 hour late. Return trip from airport was reserved 3 weeks in advance and confirmed the same day. Upon arrival, Super Shuttle had no van to take me home. Their "staff" at the Miami airport "roams" the parking area wearing a Super Shuttle t-shirt, pushing a grocery cart with her supplies. Two customer surveys I completed on the corporate website went unanswered. A phone call to the Miami franchisee got "Let me check into it and I will call you tomorrow." That was two weeks ago. STAY AWAY FROM SUPER SHUTTLE! USE ANY OTHER SERVICE BUT SUPER SHUTTLE! ![]() |
| 2. Written by WC on April 17, 2012 from national city, california, US I'm not going to defend Supershuttle here. I am a franchisee and see constantly how little Supershuttle cares about anything except how much money it is bringing in for itself. It charges ridiculously high fees and a royalty, and high van payments and insurance (could be as high as $700 a week, BEFORE 25% of fares is added to the fees, totaling $1000-1500/week in off-the-top fees). The problems is simple– this all causes its drivers to feel immense pressure to pay all that, which is taken all up front by Supershuttle each week. Then because of the need to actually have money to take home after paying off Supershuttle, drivers work unsafe hours, don't always maintain their vehicles and rush to get back to their airport for another pickup. I can't defend any driver's disgusting and unsafe actions; I'm just explaining the work environment. Supershuttle has no ethical feeling for its drivers. Examples: It hopes everyone prepays so it gets the credit card charge in its bank accounts right away to earn interest for itself until finally given to the driver on a paycheck, now as taxable income. All this while that Supershuttle earns interest off their drivers' money the driver struggles to pay for gas until payday. Supershuttle makes more money the more drivers it has, so it has no incentive to pick the best applicants. It will hire anyone with a drivers license, even if their English is not of a level that is understandable for communicating directions. Why? Because that is another $1000-15000 in startup and contract signing fees it will receive. Why would it be picky if that would cost Supershuttle money? If you use Supershuttle, thank you, from the professional and caring drivers that do drive here. Please help put money in the drivers' pockets: Pay cash when possible, and never tip prepaid (A cash tip is a personal thank-you, and we appreciate it!). Thank you for reading and safe travels! -Supershuttle Driver |
